Russian President Vladimir Putin’s two-day visit to India starts Thursday, October 4, and all eyes are on him since the occasion could see India and Russia inking a deal over Moscow granting India S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile systems. Putin is arriving in India for the 19th bilateral summit between the two traditional allies.

Viacom 18 in collaboration with DreamHack is organising the DreamHack 2018 in Mumbai. Popular PC gaming festival DreamHack holds a Guinness world record for the largest LAN party. Nodwin gaming, an Indian e-sports company, confirmed that the festival will take place in the western city of Mumbai, and will be live-streamed through Voot. Along with gaming, there is cash-price of worth Rs 10,000,000 with other forms of entertainment like Band performances.

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita taken to hospital with back injury (Sports)
Naby Keita appeared to suffer a back injury against Napoli, leading to his substitution after just 19 minutes. He was taken to a local hospital where he underwent a number of precautionary health checks to assess his condition. And no decision has been made on when the 23-year-old will be discharged.

Joint Russian-Indian counter-terrorism exercise (India)
The joint Russian-Indian counter-terrorism exercise, Indra-2018, will be held on November 18-28 in Babina cantonment area in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh, the press service of Russia’s Eastern Military District informed just before the visit of Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin. The joint Russian-Indian counter-terrorism exercises, Indra, have been held regularly since 2003.

India vs West Indies 1st Test: Kohli wins toss, India to bat first (Sports)
India won the toss and elected to bat first in the first test match against West Indies. Captain Virat Kohli is back to lead the team. The match is taking place at Rajkot. The deal is likely to happen during Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin’s delegation level meeting at Hyderabad House in New Delhi on October 5, 2018.

US shooting spree leaves 1 officer dead, 6 injured (World)
According to local media, seven law enforcement officers were shot, one of them fatally, near the city of Florence, South Carolina on Wednesday (Oct 3), 2018. No official details on the shooting were immediately available. The Florence County Emergency Management Department said on Twitter that an “active shooting situation” reported in the area was over and “the suspect is in custody.”

World trusts Putin, Xi and Merkel more than Trump, major survey finds (World)
Donald Trump has the lowest approval rating among the leaders of five major world economies, including China’s Xi Jinping, Russia’s Vladimir Putin, France’s Emmanuel Macron and Germany’s Angela Merkel, according to new research. Russian President Vladimir Putin did better than Trump as 30 per cent of the respondents expressed faith on him. Sixty two per cent said they did not have trust in Putin who won his latest mandate earlier this year.

Randhir Kapoor Strongly Reacts to Reports of Rishi Kapoor Suffering from Cancer (Entertainment)
Speculation mounted over Rishi Kapoor’s health after he was not seen at the cremation ceremony of his mother Krishna Raj Kapoor. Bollywood thespian Rishi Kapoor’s brother Randhir has rubbished reports which claimed that he is suffering from cancer. Speaking to media, Randhir said, “Rishi is yet to undergo tests. We don’t know yet what is the exact nature of his ailment.” He added that how can people speculate that he has cancer. Rishi recently left for the US to undergo some treatment.
