A sex racket was busted in Delhi and one man and three women were arrested in a joint operation conducted by Delhi Commission For Women and police. The arrested women told DCW that they engaged in prostitution on their own will, adding they received ₹250 per client and each woman “had to sleep with at least seven clients” per day.

A 35-year-old former Supreme Court staffer has written to 22 judges, alleging that Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi had made sexual advances on her at his residence in October 2018. South Africa-born Scotland all-rounder Con de Lange passed away on Friday at the age of 38 after a lengthy battle with brain tumour. World’s smallest baby boy to go home after 7 months in hospital

12 coaches of Delhi-bound Poorva Express derail in UP; 13 injured
At least 13 people have been injured after 12 coaches of the Howrah-New Delhi Poorva Express derailed in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. Rajkummar to star in 1975 film Chupke Chupke remake: Report
Rajkummar Rao will star in an upcoming remake of the 1975 film ‘Chupke Chupke’, as per reports. The film will see Rajkummar reprising the role of Professor Parimal Tripathi, which was played by veteran actor Dharmendra in the film’s original version. PIL filed in HC seeking deletion of Cong’s NYAY scheme
A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in Allahabad High Court on Friday seeking deletion of Congress’ NYAY scheme from the party’s manifesto. The petitioner claimed that such a poll promise amounted to bribery and is a violation of the Representation of People Act. Apple paid $6 billion to settle Qualcomm dispute: Report
After Apple and Qualcomm announced they settled all lawsuits under their two-year-long patent-related disputes for an undisclosed amount, a report estimated Apple paid $5-6 billion for the same. Apple also likely agreed to pay a higher, $8-9 patent royalty per iPhone, the report added. Notably, Intel announced it dropped plans to develop smartphone 5G chips after the settlement was announced.
Apple’s recycling robot Daisy dismantles 200 iPhones per hour
Apple announced plans to expand its global recycling programmes, adding it will invite academics, recyclers and other companies to learn how its 33-foot-long recycling robot ‘Daisy’ works. Apple claims Daisy can disassemble 1.2 million devices per year, or 15 different iPhone models at a rate of 200 per hour. The company added it refurbished 7.8 million Apple devices in 2018.
Pine Labs acquires gift cards startup Qwikcilver for ₹763 crore Noida-based digital payments platform Pine Labs has acquired Bengaluru-based gift cards-providing startup Qwikcilver Solutions for about ₹763 crore. Amazon-backed Qwikcilver’s Co-founder and CEO Kumar Sudarsan has also joined Pine Labs’ leadership team, the platform said. The two entities have a combined gift solutions business comprising 250 brands and retailers and 1,500 enterprise customers.
