The match went into Super Over wherein both the teams scored 15 each after hitting 241 runs apiece in their respective 50 overs. England scored 26 boundaries while New Zealand hit 17.

6 Army men among 7 dead in Himachal building collapse

At least seven people, of which six were Army men, died and several more were injured after a multi-storey building housing a small eatery on Kumarhatti-Nahan road in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district collapsed on Sunday. Seven Army personnel are still feared trapped. The wife of the restaurant owner was also among the seven people killed in the incident.

ISRO calls off ‘Chandrayaan 2’ launch for today after technical snag

The Indian Space Research Organisation on Monday called off the launch of India’s second Moon mission ‘Chandrayaan 2’ for today “as a measure of abundant precaution” after a technical snag was observed in launch vehicle system at T-56 minute. “Revised launch date will be announced later,” ISRO tweeted. The launch for ‘Chandrayaan 2’ was scheduled for 2:51 am today.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, who led Kiwis to 2019 World Cup final, has been named Player of the World Cup. The 28-year-old became the second captain in World Cup history to win the award after late New Zealand captain Martin Crowe in 1992 edition. Williamson scored 578 runs in ten 2019 World Cup matches at an average of 82.57.

4 dead, around 18 lakh affected due to floods in Bihar

At least four people have died and around 18 lakh were affected due to floods in nine districts of Bihar, an official report said. The report added that five rivers of the state are flowing above the danger level due to torrential rains in the catchment areas bordering Nepal. CM Nitish Kumar conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas.

US Army to test robotic combat vehicles in 2020

The US Army will start testing robotic combat vehicles in 2020 which soldiers will control from the back of modified Bradley Fighting Vehicles. The upgraded Bradleys, called Mission Enabler Technologies-Demonstrators (MET-Ds), have a remote turret for 25 mm main gun, 360-degree cameras and crew stations with touchscreens. Initial testing will include two MET-Ds and four robotic combat vehicles.
