Fix ATMs to walls, pillars or floor by September end: RBI to banks
The RBI has asked banks to ensure their ATMs are fixed to a wall, pillar, or floor by September 30, 2019, to enhance their security. ATMs installed in high-security premises such as airports, with adequate CCTV coverage and guards, are exempted from the decision. Additionally, all ATMs shall be operated for cash replenishment only with digital One Time Combination locks.

India can boost exports of over 350 products to the US and China amid the trade war between the two countries, a Commerce Ministry study said. Around 151 products including diesel and certain chemicals have the advantage to displace the US exports to China. Similarly, 203 Indian goods including rubber have the advantage to displace Chinese exports to the US.

Swiss authorities are in the process of sharing details of 50 Indians with accounts in Switzerland-based banks. They include businessmen associated with companies, including the dummy ones, in sectors ranging from real estate, financial services, technology, paints to gems and jewellery among others. They’ve been given a final opportunity to appeal against the proposed sharing of their details.

13-year-old arrested by Saudi in 2014 won’t be executed: Report
Murtaja Qureiris, who was arrested by Saudi Arabia in 2014 at the age of 13, will not be executed and could be released by 2022, according to a Reuters report quoting a Saudi official. Saudi authorities arrested Qureiris, who had participated in a bike protest during the 2011 Arab Spring, while he was travelling with his family to Bahrain.
Israel PM Netanyahu’s wife convicted of misusing public funds
An Israeli court on Sunday convicted the wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of fraudulently using $100,000 of state funds to order catered meals. Sara Netanyahu falsely declared that there were no cooks available at the PM’s residence. She has been ordered to pay the state 45,000 shekels ($12,490) in reimbursement and a 10,000 shekels ($2,775) fine.

US planted offensive malware in Russia’s power grid: Report
The US’ Cyber Command has planted “potentially crippling” malware inside Russia’s electrical grid, the NYT reported. It’s reportedly meant to serve as both a warning and a way to build retaliatory capabilities in case of a conflict between Moscow and Washington. The US has reportedly put reconnaissance probes into control systems of the Russian electric grid since at least 2012.

Karnataka to amend its startup policy as per central policy
The Karnataka cabinet has decided to amend Karnataka Startup Policy 2015-2020 by including turnover limit and year limit as per central policy, Karnataka’s Rural Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda said. As per state policy, to be considered a startup, it shouldn’t exceed four years or have over ₹50-crore turnover while central policy states 10 years and ₹100-crore turnover, he added.
BSF troopers perform yoga in Naxal-affected areas of Odisha
Ahead of the International Yoga Day on June 21, BSF troopers on Sunday performed yoga in south Odisha’s Naxal-affected Malkangiri district. The BSF personnel were seen doing different types of ‘asanas’ (body postures) as they gear up for the D-Day. On Friday, Indo-Tibetan Border Police troopers also performed yoga at an altitude of 18,000 feet in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ladakh.
AIIMS conducts yoga seminar ahead of 5th International Yoga Day

UCO Bank declares Yashovardhan Birla wilful defaulter
State-owned UCO Bank on Sunday declared Yashovardhan Birla as a wilful defaulter after his company Birla Surya failed to repay loans of ₹67.65 crore. The Kolkata-based lender said the Chairman of Yash Birla Group has not repaid the dues owed to the bank despite several notices. Birla Surya is already under liquidation through the Bombay High Court’s official liquidator.
Waive dues, can deliver 25,000 flats in 3 months: Builders to UP CM
Around 25,000-30,000 flats can be delivered within three months if Noida and Greater Noida authorities waive some dues to developers, a group of builders told Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. Adityanath was meeting a group of builders and buyers to resolve delays in delivering flats to owners. Buyers’ interest is supreme to the government and won’t be harmed, he said.
