A man named Lakshmi Narayan found a 35-year-old meteorite stone in his farmhouse in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore, which was confirmed by the Geological Survey of India. “While I was cleaning the farmhouse, I found the stone which landed 35 years ago,” he said. He visited the collectorate office to hand over the stone to the respective authorities on Monday.

As many as 64 people died and over 1.4 lakh hectare cropland was affected due to Cyclone Fani in Odisha, the Home Ministry said on Tuesday. Cyclone Fani affected three states, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. In Odisha, 5.56 lakh houses and huts were damaged, 6,281 cattle was lost, and 6,416 boats and 8,828 nets were damaged, it added.
3-yr-old dies of burn injuries after falling into pot of hot food
A three-year-old child died after falling into a pot of hot food in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad, police said on Tuesday. The child fell into the pot while playing at home and suffered severe burns on the face. His mother rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
2014 Burdwan blast case accused with ₹10 lakh reward held in B’luru
National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested Habibur Rehman Sheikh, one of the prime accused in the 2014 Burdwan blast case, from Doddaballapur area in Bengaluru. 2.35 crore people used Railways’ free WiFi at 1,600 stations in May
Around 2.35 crore users logged onto the Indian Railways’ free WiFi service at 1,606 stations across its network in May, Railways’ digital arm RailTel said. It further stated that the facility of free internet would be extended to another 4,791 stations within this year. RailTel claimed that the Howrah station alone saw 4.9 lakh user logins in a month.

Police arrested a 44-year-old man from Rajasthan’s Sikar, who was getting ₹1 lakh salary from a hospital by pretending to be a doctor, using a real doctor’s degree which he found in a train in 2014. Kolkata Police arrest 4 Neo-Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen militants
Kolkata Police have arrested four militants, three Bangladeshi nationals and one Indian, with links to terror outfit Neo-Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (Neo-JMB). The Bangladeshi nationals had taken shelter in India to escape arrest in Bangladesh, said police.
