Videocon Industries Limited is a large diversified Indian company headquartered in Mumbai. The group has 17 manufacturing sites in India and plants in Mainland China, Poland, Italy and Mexico. DCM SHRIRAM LIMITED
Delhi Cloth & General Mills is an Indian company founded in 1889 by Rai Bahadur Ram Kishen Das Gurwale. Initially a textiles mill, the company later expanded into many industries and became a large Indian conglomerate. However, in the 1980s, as a result of legal and financial challenges the company was forced to split into several industry segments. The company’s first factory, located in Delhi, took two years to build. FINOLEX GROUP
In July 1945, two young brothers P.P Chhabria and K.P Chhabria came to Pune from Karachi in search of a livelihood and within six months set up a small shop selling electrical cables. The retail business became quite successful. A sizable order in the mid 1950s from the Defence Department for wire harnesses for trucks and tanks bolstered their confidence and they decided to manufacture cables themselves. Starting as a small-scale industrial unit in 1956, they manufactured PVC insulated cables for the automobile industry. The Finolex brand was born from “Fine” & “Flexibles” and “O” with an electric arc across it.
