All schools, colleges to remain shut in UP from November 9 to 11

All schools, colleges, educational institutions and training centres will remain closed in Uttar Pradesh from November 9 to 11. The decision comes after the Supreme Court announced that it will pronounce verdict in Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit tomorrow. The verdict will be pronounced on the 14 appeals which were filed before the Supreme Court following Allahabad High Court’s verdict.

Section 144 to be imposed in B’luru from 7 am tomorrow over Ayodhya verdict

Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao has said that Section 144 will be imposed in the city from 7 am to 12 midnight over Ayodhya verdict. “Social media will be strictly monitored and liquor shops will remain closed tomorrow,” he added. The Supreme Court will deliver the verdict at 10:30 am tomorrow.

Priyanka Gandhi or that of INC India on Mastodon are not authentic,” the party tweeted. Several Indians joined Mastodon after accusing Twitter of bias for suspending lawyer Sanjay Hegde’s account.

Company to start human trials of virus that kills all cancers

An Australian company is set to start the human trials from next year for a cowpox-based virus that has been found to reportedly kill every type of cancer. The company will specifically be targeting patients with triple-negative breast cancer, melanoma, lung cancer, bladder, gastric and bowel cancer. Patients in human trials will have the virus injected directly into their tumours.

The CBI has booked its own officer for allegedly extorting ₹5 crore from a Gujarat-based businessman by threatening him with action from Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Department. Sunil Nair called Shailesh Bhatt to CBI’s Gandhinagar office and threatened action for “earning black money” using bitcoin. He demanded ₹10 crore to remain silent before bringing it down to ₹5 crore.
