THE TIMES OF INDIA
Started in 1838 as The Bombay Times and Journal of Commerce, the name of the newspaper was changed in 1861 to The Times of India. The Audit Bureau of Circulations reported recently that the Times of India, BCCL’s leading English newspaper publication, had the largest circulation of any English-language newspaper in the world, with 3,321,702 average qualifying sales. THE TELEGRAPH (ABP)
The Telegraph is the largest circulated English daily in Eastern India. It was launched on 7th July, 1982, published by the ABP group of publications. The Telegraph in its short life span of 26 years has become the largest circulated English daily in the eastern region published from Calcutta. The Telegraph is the only English newspaper launched in post independent India which has overtaken the established market leader in the region. The reason for this success can be attributed to constant value addition to the product. In keeping with this philosophy it has introduced an eight-page color section called Metro devoted solely to Calcutta and its vibrant people.
THE HINDU
The Hindu is an English-language Indian daily newspaper. Headquartered at Chennai, The Hindu was published weekly when it was launched in 1878, and started publishing daily in 1889. It is the second most circulated English-language newspaper in India, with average qualifying sales of 1.39 million copies. It is the third most widely read English newspaper in India (after the Times of India and Hindustan Times), with a readership of 2.2 million people. The Hindu has its largest base of circulation in southern India, and is the most widely read English daily newspaper in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
DAINIK JAGRAN
Dainik Jagran is an Indian Hindi-language daily newspaper. As per many readership surveys, Dainik Jagran is amongst the most read newspapers in the world with an average Issue Readership (AIR) of 16.37 million. Dainik Jagran has also been declared by the World Association of Newspapers (WAN) as one of the most read newspapers in the world. Notably, it was named the most credible newspaper source in India in a survey commissioned by BBC-Reuters. The newspaper is owned by Jagran Prakashan Limited, a publishing house listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India.
DIVYA BHASKAR
Divya Bhaskar is a Gujarati newspaper in Gujarat, India, owned by D B Corp Ltd. It is one of the highest circulated Gujarati dailies, with the most number of editions in Gujarat. In 2003, the Bhopal-based Bhaskar Group identified Ahmedabad, Gujarat as the city with the highest potential for the fourth launch of Dainik Bhaskar outside Madhya Pradesh (MP). Since then, Divya Bhaskar has grown to be considered amongst the most well recognised of Indian media brands, apart from being considered amongst the most respected ones.
FILMFARE
Filmfare is an English-language, tabloid-sized magazine about Hindi-language cinema, popularly known as Bollywood. Established in 1952, the magazine is published by Worldwide Media, a subsidiary of The Times Group, India’s largest media services conglomerate. Filmfare is one of the most popular entertainment magazines in India. Since 1954, it gives popular film awards the annual Filmfare Awards and Filmfare Awards South. Filmfare was launched only a year after the widely read and extremely well known magazine Screen was launched by The Indian Express. Taking off from the image of The Times of India, Filmfare combined serious film journalism with glamour and has provided some of the most memorable and insightful reports from Bollywood.
FEMINA
Femina is an Indian magazine, published fortnightly. It is owned by Worldwide Media, a 50:50 joint venture between BBC Worldwide and The Times Group. It is primarily a women’s magazine and features articles on relationships, beauty and fashion, travel, cuisine, and health and fitness. It also features articles on celebrities and cultural facets of Indian women. Femina was first published in July 1959. It has organized and sponsored the Femina Miss India beauty pageant since 1964. From 1994 to 1999, it also sponsored the Femina Look of the Year contest to send an Indian contestant to the Elite Model Look competition.

Hindustan Times is an Indian English-language daily newspaper founded in 1924 with roots in the Indian independence movement of the period. The newspaper is owned by Shobhana Bhartia. It is the flagship publication of HT Media. Hindustan Times is one of the largest newspapers in India, by circulation according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations. Various readership surveys over the past few years have confirmed that Hindustan Times is the second most widely read English newspaper in India (after The Times of India) and amongst the most respected and recognised brands across India.

In 1931, the Indian Express was started by an Ayurved doctor, P. Varadarajulu Naidu, at Chennai, and was published by the Tamil Nadu Press. Today, the Indian Express is an English-language Indian daily newspaper published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Group. The newspaper is published at nine locations – Delhi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Kolkata, Vadodara, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Ahmedabad. MINT (HT MEDIA)
Mint is India’s second largest business newspaper published by HT Media Ltd., the Delhi-based media group which also publishes the Hindustan Times. It mostly targets readers who are business executives and policy makers. It is India’s first newspaper to be published in the Berliner format. Mint exclusively used to carry “WSJ” branded editorial content in its pages by virtue of the content sharing partnership between HT Media and News Corp, which owns the Wall Street Journal. Mint was launched in collaboration with The Wall Street Journal on 1 February 2007, with the Journal’s former deputy managing editor, Raju Narisetti as its founding editor.

The Economic Times is an English-language, Indian daily newspaper published by the Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. first published in 1961. It is the world’s second-most widely read English-language business newspaper, after the Wall Street Journal, with a readership of over 800,000. The Economic Times is published simultaneously from 12 cities—Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Chandigarh, and Pune. The Economic Times is headquartered in Mumbai at The Times of India building, and is one of the most respected business dailies nationally.
NAVBHARAT TIMES
Navbharat Times (NBT) is one of the largest circulated as well as largest read Hindi newspapers of Delhi, Mumbai and Lucknow. The newspaper is from the stable of Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd, which also publishes other dailies including The Times of India, The Economic Times, Maharashtra Times and also magazines such as Filmfare and Femina. NBT is one of the oldest products of the group. The first issue of Navbharat Times hit the stands on 3 April 1947, the year India gained its independence. It was the only Hindi publication those days to use rotary machines.
MUMBAI MIRROR
Mumbai Mirror is a compact newspaper in the city of Mumbai, with a daily circulation of approximately 700,000 copies. Its first issue was published on May 30, 2005 by the Times Group, the publishers of The Times of India newspaper. The newspaper was launched at the Gateway of India by Vilasrao Deshmukh, the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Abhishek Bachchan on May 29, 2005 in an elaborate ceremony. Mumbai Mirror was launched by The Times Group after the Hindustan Times and DNA announced plans to enter the Mumbai market. Since then, it has become a part and parcel of the city of Mumbai, out-performing almost all of tis contemporaries.

The National Institution for Transforming India Aayog, or NITI Aayog, is a Government of India policy think-tank established by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to replace the Planning Commission. The stated aim for NITI Aayog’s creation is to foster involvement and participation in the economic policy-making process by the State Governments of India. It has adopted a “bottom-up” approach in planning which is a remarkable contrast to the Planning Commission’s tradition of “top-down” decision-making. One of the important mandates of NITI Aayog is to bring cooperative competitive federalism and to improve centre state relation.

RADIO MIRCHI (TIMES GROUP)
Radio Mirchi is a nationwide network of private FM radio stations in India. It is owned by the Entertainment Network India Ltd (ENIL), which is one of the subsidiaries of The Times Group. Mirchi is Hindi for Red Chilli. The tagline of Radio Mirchi is “It’s hot!” Radio Mirchi maintains weekly music charts (or record charts) for India. The most followed charts are Mirchi Top 20 (Bollywood Songs) and Angrezi Top 20 (English Songs). Both of these charts are a ranking of recorded music according to popularity.
