The Ganges may remain impure
The biggest task in the Ministry of Water Resources is the cleaning of Ganges. Perhaps, in this regard, Nitin Gadkari was given an additional charge of this ministry and Ganges rejuvenation. But the truth is that he does not even feel responsible in the cleaning of the river. of late he has got a private secretary on last Monday. His staff is certainly stationed at Shram Shakti Bhavan, but unlike the Minister they are also engaged in the Ministry of Transport , which is in the office of the Ministry of Road and Transportation. The fact is that long roads have been constructed and the figures are visible but the amount spent on the cleaning of the river remains a big enigma. Whenever, the achievements of this government will be counted only the roads will be talked about and it will add a feather to their cap and not the holy river in any case. When Umaji was in the ministry she wanted to setup a Ganga Knowledge Bank, Rajesh Katiyar, a former journalist was working with her ,tried to collect some figures for knowledge bank. When he got an opportunity to workwith Deputy CM of UP Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya .He left the task of the Ganga Knowledge Bank. The Ministry’s condition is such that whenever a journalist or enquires about the data then it’s a very unpleasant moment for the Concern Information Officer, since the Ministry has no figures to reveal. The distressing fact is Nitin Gadkari’s subordinates too are disinterested in the cleaning process; hence the journalist is at his wits end and publishes the information as received. It is not being cleansed even on clean paper. As of the last few days of the government, some pugilism will be done with the data, but the fact remains that in the UP’s Gadmukteshwar to Banaras Ghats and Prayag, and from Prayag to Gazipur and Ballia the Ganges will be cleansed only on the papers but not in the real sense of the term.
Ram Temple Issue
The Ram Janmabhoomi – Babri Masjid dispute in Ayodhya has yet again rekindled the debate on the subject that has for the decades been a religious and political flash point. It boils down to a plot of land in the city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. The site that is regarded among Hindus as the birth place of Lord Rama also historically locates Babri mosque. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) announced a nation wide drive for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.. The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also reiterated that the construction of a Ramtemple at the disputed site should be done through consensus. This is the first time ever when the Chief Minister himself is saying so when the matter is under judiciary’s consideration. The state Government is on record now requesting Supreme Court to take the pending matter. The apex court will consider the controversial title suit in Ayodhya this month. Thefact is people are anxiously waiting for the judgment on the people involved in the demolition of the Babri Masjid. This verdict will decide what the direction of the temple construction will be and what will be the morale of those in the disputed structure, or will it be a mere attempt to prepare for the electoral land. The news is making the rounds that Uma Bharti is also advocating the temple. The monsoon session of the parliament will commence and the construction of the temple issue will be reinstated.needless to say the society will be charged up which may prove favorable for the BJP government.
