India is planning to set up a separate station in space, ISRO Chairman K Sivan announced on Thursday. “It will be a smaller module, mainly used to carry out microgravity experiment…We hope to take the project ahead only after the successful completion of Gaganyaan in 2022,” he said. Sivan added that it would be conceptualised over the next 5-7 years.
All 13 bodies, black box of crashed AN-32 aircraft recovered
All 13 bodies and the black box of Indian Air Force’s AN-32 aircraft that crashed in Arunachal Pradesh have been recovered from the crash site. Choppers would be used to ferry the bodies from the site. The IAF had earlier today announced that there were no survivors in the crash, which took place on June 3.

India ranks fourth in the list of countries with most ‘unicorns’ or startups with a valuation of $1 billion or more, with a 4% global share comprising 16 unicorns out of total 361, CB Insights reported. 4 railway policemen booked for thrashing journalist in UP
Four Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel were booked for allegedly beating up a journalist in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district, GRP Superintendent of Police, Moradabad, Subhash Chandra Dubey said. In a purported video of the incident, the accused personnel can be seen repeatedly slapping and punching television journalist Amit Sharma, who was covering the derailment of a train in Uttar Pradesh.
Man stabs girlfriend to death over suspicion of cheating
The Maharashtra police filed a case of murder against 25-year-old IT engineering drop-out Kiran Shinde for allegedly stabbing his 22-year-old girlfriend over suspicions that she was cheating on him. Shinde had not been in contact with anyone for five days, following which she and his friend visited Pune to look for him. Shinde then stabbed her four times.
43 kids die in Bihar this month, state cites low blood sugar
Two children died on Wednesday in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district due to Hypoglycaemia, taking the death toll this month to 43. Muzaffarpur is suffering from Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) outbreak, however, the authorities said these casualties were not caused by AES. Hypoglycaemia causes abnormally low-level of sugar in blood or deficiency of sodium or potassium in the body, officials said.
UP Bar Council chief Darvesh Yadav cremated, family seeks CBI probe
Uttar Pradesh Bar Council President Darvesh Yadav, who was shot dead on Wednesday, was cremated in Chandpur village in UP. Yadav’s family demanded a CBI inquiry, alleging that lawyer Manish Sharma, who allegedly shot her, had embezzled funds which led to her murder. Lawyers demanded security for her family, while Bar Council of India sought ₹50 lakh compensation for them.

Bank frauds worth ₹2.05 lakh cr reported in last 11 yrs: RBI
Over 53,000 cases of bank frauds worth ₹2.05 lakh crore were reported in India between 2008-09 and 2018-19, the RBI revealed in its reply to an RTI query. The highest of 6,811 cases were reported by the ICICI Bank involving ₹5,034 crore. This was followed by the State Bank of India (SBI) which reported 6,793 cases worth ₹23,735 crore.
Randeep volunteers for drought relief efforts in Maharashtra

Four arrested for smuggling heroin in Jammu
Four members of an interstate gang of narcotic smugglers were arrested in Jammu city and 175 grams of heroin was seized from them, said officials on Thursday. A police team had intercepted the vehicle they were travelling in. A case was registered against the accused, two of whom belong to Punjab while the others are from J&K and Himachal Pradesh.

The police have closed the sexual harassment case filed by actress Tanushree Dutta against actor Nana Patekar, citing that there has been no evidence to corroborate the charges. “The complainant can file a protest report to challenge the closure report,” lawyer Sujay Kantawala said. Dutta had accused Patekar of sexual misconduct on the sets of ‘Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss’ in 2008.

AIIMS MBBS 2019 result declared, 4 students score 100 percentile
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi on Wednesday declared the result for the entrance exam for the undergraduate level MBBS courses, in which four students have got 100 percentile. A total of 3,38,457 candidates appeared for the exam. As many as 11,380 aspirants qualified, of which 7,352 are male, 4,027 female and one is from third gender.
Pak opens its airspace for PM Modi after India chooses Oman route
Pakistan on Wednesday said it will “specially” open its airspace for PM Narendra Modi’s flight to Kyrgyzstan’s Bishkek to attend the two-day SCO summit, even as India decided not to use the nation’s airspace for the purpose. The Indian Air Force has said no survivors have been found at the site in Arunachal Pradesh where the AN-32 aircraft carrying 13 people crashed. On Wednesday, a team of rescuers was airlifted to the crash site, which was at an altitude of 12,000 feet. The wreckage of the aircraft, which went missing on June 3, was found on Tuesday.
