As much as he dreads the night shifts at several BPO’s, Sachin Kohli is happy with the way his career has shaped up and is proud to be the COO of Xenolith Techologies. Mr. Kohli was kind enough to spend some time with us and share some of his career achievements so far. He has taken up the challegnges very sportingly and proved his mettle. He started as a Customer Care Executive at DSL Dishnet Ltd. and is now a COO with one of the big brands. This achievement did not arrive overnight, Mr. Kohli has put his soul to his work. All these years have been crucial in terms of career growth and now he can narrate his success tales to the young aspirants.
Mr. Kohli, is a 97-99 batch pass out from IIPM Lodhi Road Campus. According to him IIPM, in comparison to other business Schools is unique and ensures a good personality development. He still remembers his first presentation in the class and from that day he wanted to excel in his communication skills.
He got campus placement and joined a publication group for a short period. He, later joined Dishnet, an internet service provider as customer care executive. His job profile entailed in house captive customer care calls and dissolving their queries. His next job was at Primenet Global, another Internet Service provider, as head of customer care.
Mr. Kohli changed his stream and joined EXL services, a BPO. It was an altogether different exposure for him as he was handling international clients. His main responsibility was to transfer processes from USA. It was during this period that he got an opportunity to travel overseas. His next job was at Hewitt as Process manager. He joined Satyam in Hyderabad as Sr. Business Analyst. His main task was setting up and automating processes.
After his stint at several BPO’s; he joined Srei , a non banking financial group as Assistant Vice President ( AVP). Srei is primarily into infrastructure equipments. During this time, he along with others at Srei conceived the idea to create an IT organisation. They were successful in their endeavour and zenolith was born. Since then he has been sincerely working with Xenolith as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He, does not have any leaders in particular but admires a lot of his previous mentors. He likes Arindam Chaudhari’s style of leadership. He got several opportunities to attend his workshops. According to him, one should be flexible, open to challenges and changes. He firmly believes that one should not pressurise anyone & should work on overall personality development of an individual. He is very close to his two kids and his wife. During his busy schedule he hardly gets anytime for his family yet he tries to spend an hour every day with them & takes them for a vacation also. He sums up his biggest achieve ment as balance between personal and professional life on a whole successfully.
