Red, yellow, blue or green, colours are the most elementarily quaint motifs of emotions and their expressions. Heralding and celebrating one such colourful season, Spring, here comes an equally vibrant, desi carnival of sorts Holi a day of immeasurable fun, frolic, love and joy! The festival of colours as we know it, Holi is celebrated all over India, with immense fervour involving smearing of gulal (colour powder) some good-natured and some not-so-good on each other or drenching each other with coloured water! And while there are various legends associated with the festival, the motive remains just that innocent incessant fun! (3 March)
