Former Andhra Pradesh CM NT Rama Rao’s son Nandamuri Harikrishna died in a road accident near Nalgonda in Telangana. The Nalgonda SP said he was driving his car at 160 kms/hr before the mishap. Harikrishna losing his control over the vehicle hit the divider and bumped into another car. He was declared dead at Kamineni hospital in Narkeptally.
Indian Rupee hits a fresh record low against US Dollar
The rupee on Wednesday afternoon hit a fresh record low of 70.57 to US Dollar. Rupee had a weak start to the day as well; hurt by fresh demand for US dollar from the importers has kept the rupee under pressure. This is seen as a short term blip by the analyst and they expect the upward momentum to continue.
AirAsia adds 19th aircraft to its fleet
Air Asia today announced the addition of 19th aircraft in its fleet and will be adding two new routes in its flight network from October. The Tata Sons-AirAsia group JV is now just one plane short of the mandatory 20 aircraft so as to start with international operations by a domestic carrier. The 19th aircraft will be based at AirAsia’s Kolkata hub.
Over 12,500 RTI forms received by the PMO
According to an official data over 12,500 RTI forms have been received by the PMO during 2016-17, highest since 2012. The number of appeals filed by citizens, aggrieved over initial response to their applications from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has also increased, it said.
