The Election Commission has said that fresh polling will take place at a polling station in Haryana’s Faridabad parliamentary constituency on May 19 which coincides with the seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections. A polling agent was arrested for trying to influence voters at the booth after a video of him doing the purported act went viral.

Rajasthan to change Veer Savarkar’s biography in school syllabus
Rajasthan’s Congress government has announced that changes will be made in RSS icon Veer Savarkar’s biography to teach the “correct” history. Rajasthan Education Minister Govind Dotasra said that Savarkar has been glorified in the textbooks to suit the “political gains” of the RSS. The new syllabus will reportedly teach that Savarkar had said sorry to the British government.
IAF Wing Commander Rao assaulted by rickshaw driver, 2 others in B’luru
VS Rao, a 46-year-old Indian Air Force Wing Commander, was allegedly assaulted by an autorickshaw driver and two others in Bengaluru on May 4, police said. The driver stopped Rao’s car and abused him alleging he was driving in a rash manner, and later assaulted him. Two others in the autorickshaw also abused Rao, who was travelling with his wife.
Over 20 flights delayed as server goes down at Kolkata airport
Several passengers were left stranded at Kolkata airport after internet servers crashed at the airport causing delays in schedules of over 20 flights. Flight Information Display System and cameras turned non-operational after which airlines started issuing boarding passes to passengers manually. Airport authorities said that the IT team is working to resolve the issue.
