What has been the impetus behind starting a real estate firm?
Mr. Nagpal: The inspiration of starting a real estate firm came 25 years ago when I was building my own house. The journey started when I sold my old house, and saw a good profit margin. The enthusiasm, love and passion towards building a house set the grounds for my venture into the realty world.
Tell us about Gulshan Homz’s story. How has been the journey so far?
Mr. Nagpal: Gulshan Homz’s story is nothing but a tale of one’s passion to achive dreams. Then, other realtors and builders just wanted to make money, even if it meant compromising on quality. I found an opportunity to build homes that people would cherish forever. We built houses with great zeal by focusing even on the minutest detail. Meeting clients to get their feedback, we solve issues of home-owners.
When I look back, I feel, it was a satisfactory journey with our projects speaking for themselves.
Gulshan Homz ushered in the concept of after-sales services in the real estate realm. Tell us about your innovative strategies?
Mr. Nagpal: When there is so much excitement involved with work, business becomes secondary. With a keen eye on third-party reassurance, we have a policy of delivering quality homes. Our customers enjoy excellent creations and impeccable maintenance service provided by us.
How do you keep your employees motivated at work?
Mr. Nagpal: I use different innovative strategies to keep my employees motivated at work. I believe, open communication and team involvement in the company’s key decisions make employees feel valuable and wanted.
Who has been inspiring you to achieve more in life?
Mr. Nagpal: I don’t follow others. I want to create my own distinct identity with my work and earn respect through it. I want people to remember me through my good work.
What qualities of others impress you the most?
Mr. Nagpal: An indivdual’s passion towards work inspires me the most. This is definitely the one thing that I want to see in others. I believe, everyone should be passionate about his or her work, leaving no stone unturned to achieve the impossible. Only then, they would be able to create a mark for themselves in a holistic sense.
What message would you like toconvey to the Indian youth?
Mr. Nagpal: I would like to tell them that they must follow their dreams with passion. Once you do that, nobody in the world will be able to stop you from achieving your dreams. Always remember that sky is not a limit, rather one can leave footprints on moon as well.
What kind of future map have you drawn for Gulshan Homz? Is there any new market that you would like to explore in the near future?
Mr. Nagpal: Presently, we are running our projects in Noida, and as far as the future is concerned, we would like to engrave our position more firmly in NCR. I believe, it is a growing market and an attractive property destination for home-buyers. We, at Gulshan Homz, strive to develop the company as an overall real estate developer, and not just a strong player in group housing. The next leap would be in the commercial segment, which we can expect by the end of 2013.
