Letters to the editor

Informative

The cover package on brain mapping in the recent issue of 4Ps Business & Marketing was informative. It was an excellent read and a great source of learning for marketers and advertisers in India. The story nicely unfolded the future of brain mapping and the work-in-progress in the said field. Rendezvous and brand journey stories were interesting as well.

4Ps B&M carries a good package of marketing stories from across various industries in India. The highlight of the last issue was the ad rankings section, where the ads were analysed on various parameters. The section was very engaging.

The annual issue on consumer behaviour was a great effort to showcase how a typical consumer behaves under different situations. Really great. 4Ps Business & marketing is a really informative magazine. All the best for the future.

The issue on ‘Neuromarketing’ was loaded with analysis and a lot of research that was not served to please advertising clients – this is one interesting observation I made in the last issue. It’s honest business journalism. Good job!

To keep myself informed of happenings in the world of business and marketing, I read 4Ps B&M. It serves the right dose of information on the subjects of marketing and business at regular intervals. It’s an easy read too – from the first page to the last. The Annual Consumer special issue (February 16, 2013 issue) re-established standards of journalism. The First Cut and Big Idea sections in that issue deserve special mentions. This magazine is fit for both marketers and management students hungry for content.

Some months back, on being suggested by a friend, I picked up an issue of 4Ps B&M. You would be glad to hear that I have become a regular reader of this magazine. Simple reason – I like its content that is always so rich. The writers of stories in this magazine are truly living the spirit of journalism. The featured marketing interviews and international columns teach much to readers. I can recommend this one as a must read for managements students, and ad-professionals alike. Read the ad reviews – they’re cracking!

Since the time I started reading 4Ps, it has grown phenomenally in both content and design. The effort that goes into making such a product must be massive. My favourite page in the magazine is the Brand Quiz section – serious but fun.

I read the First Cut section featuring Max Bupa’s new ad. I loved the title of the piece, ‘Wht Next? An insurance policy for our ancestors dead and gone?’ Hilarious! Allow me to add – I won’t be surprised if some company does release such a product.

Was going through the last issue of 4Ps B&M. Page after page, the content was good. The story on Tupperware, the interview with the President of Hero Motors, the ads section, the Big Idea… every page was worth the price.

The Indianisation of Indian ads – it was a Big Idea piece with a definite line of reasoning. I enjoyed reading the Brand Quiz questions too – something new that I saw in this magazine. Interesting nevertheless.

Great guide

Dear Chief Consulting Editor, your article ‘The less obvious rules of success’ was an excellent read. I will definitely keep in mind things that you have mentioned in that piece when I sit for any interview in future. A great guide of an article.

Presentation of perspectives

Ma’am, I have been reading your columns since the launch of this magazine. They are worth reading. In fact, I have been reading 4Ps B&M since the very start as the presentation of perspectives in this magazine is better than in any other in India. I appreciate the immense effort put behind the making of such an amazing magazine. My best wishes to the entire editorial team.

Exceptional

The writers at 4Ps B&M understand well what business and marketing mean. I can vividly recall the cover stories carried in October (Badmaash Company) and November (Political advertisements) last year.

Educative

Your magazine is a great medium to keep oneself informed about how advertising is shaping the world around us. The product launches featured in the last few pages of the magazine and the Brand Quiz questions get me totally engrossed. It also appears that you get more knowledgeable people to write columns in your magazine (as compared to other business publications – of the Harvard and INSEAD breed I mean). Each of these contributors must be charging you a bomb!

Disappointing

Your cover story in the last issue could have had some pages dedicated to the biology behind brain-mapping. I expected that when I read the cover. It was disappointing.
