Letters To The Editor

Relevant content

Though there are a number of business magazines in the market, it is great to come across a magazine like yours which serves the right news and views at the right time. My reason for saying this is that since the purchasing power of people in our country is growing, doing a story on “Affordable Luxury” is bang on target. This story specially caught my attention for a simple reason that luxury attracts me. I was looking to buy a car for myself and the statistics given by your magazine and the way your title made it sound so simple just helped me make the right decision. The stories in your magazine are interesting and relevant, to the point, and appropriate according to economic trends and what is happening around the world.

Intellectual & engaging

I don’t have regular access to the print version of your magazine since it takes time for the copy to reach me over here. Going through the Januray issue, on M&A deals, was an engaging affair and I think that others too will agree with my view. My vocation demands high quality research, which I am happy to note that Business & Economy magazine offers. I hope you guys will continue to offer quality reading in the future as well. I am also happy to observe that your website is being updated pretty quickly now and so my wait for the new issues has been getting shorter. I am sure one day you will be launching international versions of the magazine as well. My heartiest wishes for the same. Blessings to all of you!

Great package

I never actually thought of reading business magazines until my friend suggested that I read Business & Economy. I would look out for newspaper to get business news but once I read B&E, my perception changed. The graphical representation and the simple language used in the magazine tempted me into reading not just an article but the entire magazine. I would recommend all my friends interested in the business world to read this magazine and see for themselves how it lends depth and perspective to our understanding of business and economic issues. Great package overall.

An eye opener

The cover story in the last issue of Business & Economy was a real eye opener. The regulators have gone beyond their jurisdiction to make claims related to malpractices against a non listed company. Your article is a strong message to SEBI. Apart from the cover story, I liked all the other stories and sections. Every month, I make it a point to read the business strategy columns written by international professors. These columns keep me informed and improve my understanding about economic affairs and business trends. I wish you all the luck and success in the future.

High standards

There is something unique about the spirit of the edit team in your magazine. I say this because I know that it takes lots of effort to finalise a supreme package overall and Business & Economy magazine has been doing it regularly. The standards followed by the editorial team have kept up with the highest benchmarks of quality journalism. To be more precise, B&E stands out for its innovative style in highlighting issues, and in its treatment and analysis of the content that come packaged in stories that are a treat to read. The cover stories have been hugely informative in every issue and deserve appreciation. The kind of knowledge addition I get from reading B&E is enormous. Keep the momentum going!

Fresh insights

India and the rest of the world have contrasting viewpoints on various economic issues, and the ways that they approach and treat such issues can vary widely. Business & Economy is one magazine that brings up such issues and it also offers a good account of how countries evolve their policies to best tackle and manage the problems. This way your magazine is able to provide different perspectives to the various economic issues that confront different parts of the world. More importantly, such articles force us to think how problems can be dealt with using different policy tools available to the countries concerned.

Good stories

I have been following your magazine for over a year now. The best thing about this magazine is its presentation style. The entire design part is eyeball grabbing. The selection and choice of topics is also very eclectic. As a result of this wonderful effort, the standards of this magazine are high, making it one of the best amongst contemporary business magazines. I also like the thematic surveys conducted by ICMR. The surveys results are presented in a very attractive, graphical manner, which makes it easier to interpret and appreciate. Cheers to the design as well as editorial team. I request your team to always work with the same dedication and passion in the future as well.

Good variety

Every issue of your magazine has something new to offer to the readers along with some outstanding supplements like BFM and GID. With so much variety and engaging stuff on offer, you perfectly satisfy the appetite of even the most voracious of readers. This is what makes Business & Economy magazine an engrossing affair every month. With a lot happening in the fast growing SME sector and the e-retailing universe in India, I would love to see more coverage of these sectors in your forthcoming isssues.

Insightful

The insights that Business & Economy magazine brings to bear on its content with its sector and corporation stories are just amazing. Be it the stories on Apple or Fiat, or the sector stories on luxury car wars, the conceptualization of the package is always brilliant. It is always very useful to know about the companies whose products you use on a regular basis in your every life. Reading about these companies gives a deeper and better insight about those products. To know the market, the players and the competition they face helps consumers to decide better when buying products. However, I have been disappointed to see your magazine turn into a monthly. With so much happening around in the business world, I am sure there is a compelling case for the magazine to revert to its fortnightly mode.

Brilliant graphics

Business & Economy has an interesting way of expressing the burning business issues of the day. The language used is simple and easily intelligible. I would like to compliment your team for the amazing efforts that they put in to get the best stories on business and economy. Some of the articles are extremely inspiring as well. The in-depth analysis of data and the way numbers are put in eye-catching graphs make the reading experience even more enjoyable. In this respect, I especially want to give credit to your research and design team for the brilliant way they depict the numbers and make them stand out in the pages of your magazine. It is for these reasons that the magazine has been able to create a niche for itself and is able to maintain its high standards.

Unique magazine

I have started reading Business & Economy magazine very recently and I like every bit of it. The conceptualization, writing style, layouts, everything is fantastic. In the last issue, I specially liked the story on Apple. I believe that the company needs to realign its strategy in the face of growing competition. It needs to realize that there is no eternal killer product as technology and consumer preferences change very fast. All the numbers were knitted together very well to paint a true picture of the situation. All the best for the future issues, the efforts are just brilliant. Keep it up!

Knowledgeable

There were quite a few things that I was unaware of about the business world. Now, since I took to reading your magazine, I can claim to be more informed and knowledgeable. In particular, I love the magazine’s Scrutiny section, which is a favourite for my knowledge updation. Other sections too, like Stratagem and Policy, are always very appropriately structured and informative. The overall content is very nicely balanced, and offer a good picture of the Indian business scenario and global business happenings. I have personally seen the magazine grow over the years in terms of content and find it very refreshing.

Add a new section, please

Being a compulsive readers of business stories, I ensure that I don’t miss out on any of the issues of Business & Economy. And after all these years of reading it, the magazine is now an essential part of my reading menu. Stories on corporates are especially insightful. The last issue of B&E on Sahara was particulary gripping. I would suggest that you should add a section, which is a blend of finance and technology, and highlight how companies are using these tools to increase their business potential and introducing new products and services.

Students love it!

Business & Economy is a magazine that is particularly liked by students like me who find its content very useful. We appreciate the high quality research and analysis that make up your stories and often refer to them on a regular basis. The lately added section on ‘Revisiting History’ allows an avid reader like me to take a stroll down memory lane and understand the issues more clearly. Many of the stories you have featured in this section like China’s military victory over India in 1971, the great food famine of the 70s, and others have been very informative.

Refreshing story-telling style

The story on Apple Inc. in the last issue titled “Is Tim Cook losing the plot?” enriched my knowledge and about the leading smartphone maker. The reason why Business & Economy has been able to differentiate itself from the league is due to its unique story narration style.
